We're backkk...

So I just accompanied JM to the ATL for a conference he was attending for work. I worked from the hotel and was SO productive, love me some remote access. It didn't hurt that there was a Starbucks downstairs!

Got to see one of my favorites, Kim and meet her new man who is awesomeee. We met at the Nook on Piedmont Park - PATIO WEATHER, holla!! To be honest this was my main reason for going. Other than seeing Kim, JM and I explored Midtown Monday and Tuesday night and found some great places.

I'll tell the rest of the ATL story via pictures and captions - it's way more interesting that way! :)

We stayed at the Georgian Terrace and it was pretty awesome, built in 1911 and they had the Gone with the Wind opening bash here. The rooms were HUGE!

Ate at the hotel the first night - by far the best meal. Pictured above - Butternut Squash Soup, SO GOOD!

The "Office" while in ATL

If there is an elevator with a mirror and you happen to be alone, TELL ME you don't take a picture. I dare you. (morning Starbucks trips)

First night exploring, intense margaritas and run ins with homeless people. Quick tip, if they ask for money and you offer them Chips & Salsa, they're not going to be impressed. #downsideofporchdining

BEST MUSHROOM SOUP EVER - too bad that it was 671 calories and it was only half of my lunch. Totally worth it and yes, I did go back the next day and get it again, but with salad this time.

MMMM.

Ok - I'll wrap it up. Other highlights -
  • Rooftop Bar at the Renaissance, fire pits - amazing view and the Peach Princess. MMM.
  • Leaves changing color, gorgeoussss
  • Did I mention KIM
  • Chicken and Waffles at Gladys Knight's - sorry I just don't get it.

Miss you Atlanta, back to THE OFFICE tomorrow where they require me to wear shoes and professional clothing - way different than my ATL office rules. :)

    1. I suppose I wouldn't have been super eager to capture my sniffly chapped red nose and bloodshot tired eyes...

  2. Did you actually go to Gladys'? I haven't been yet. I don't get it either.

    1. Yes we did - I'll have to text you the picture of my plate. I thought it was going to be some like little crappy fast food place, it's like a sit down 8 page menu real deal kinda place. However, I wouldn't go back - YELP always steers me in the wrong direction.
