Another weekend has come and gone and I feel as though I "accomplished" a heck of a lot more than I have in the past few.
Friday - Other People's Property event with a few friends. It was kind of a bust but the company was ugh maze ing and it ended up being semi-hipsterish so there were other "vendors" there. This was life changing because I met a lovely lady who uttered the words "would you like to make a felt flower" - arts and crafts, whattttt.
So - Lauren and I spent the next 6 minutes being instructed on how to make a super cute flower pin. Wore it the rest of the night. More importantly than the flower was the Grandma Party that was happening on Sunday. Unfortunately I couldn't go THIS time but PLEASE KNOW a craft bazaar in the parking lot of a coffee shop with food, music and drinks could not sound any more appealing. She also does "Girls Night In" where she does fun crafty projects and comes to you with EVERYTHING and you just provide the vino - of course. Beyond excited.
Long story short - dinner and drinks with the girls, always a good time and tons of laughing and a few interesting new life experiences to add to the mix.
Saturday - JM had plans so I wasted about 3 hours on Pinterest trying to finalize my cookie swap recipe and pick a few recipes I wanted to try this week so I could make my shopping list. Finally got ready and went shopping and it was one of the most relaxing shopping trips of my life. I felt so prepared and efficient. That never happens - the grocery store offers way too many options for it be an anxiety free event for me.
We watched Ruby Sparks which I must say, I loved. JM may or may not have opened notepad during the movie and started acting along - if you've seen it, it'll make sense. If not - sorry for wasting the last 3 seconds of your life.
Sunday - I did laundry, made chicken teriyaki and salad for lunch and then started my cookie swap DISASTER. I made Red Velvet Crackle Cookies and apparently decided I needed to do a double batch even though we have a group of 4!!! So I spent ALL day making cookies.
Some of the highlights:
- I need a new mixer, I threw mine in the garbage (possibly with force)
- My kitchen may still look like a scene from Dexter, not an exaggeration
- I have what seems like hundreds of cookies and they aren't even that good, I'll pawn them off at work, they'll eat anything there

Have a fantastic week - I'm going to be working relentlessly on my work and home to-do lists.
those cookies look super duper yummy!
