24 days away from having to LIVE there...

Went by the condo last night after JM had spent the afternoon there, on the way there he said he was nervous so I braced myself and didn't ask too many questions.

Well...he started "demo" and by demo I just mean cutting holes in things to "see" what was there. SMILES. 

3 full weeks until I have to live there full time so lets make this happen!! Should make for an interesting and exhausting weekend.

A few fun facts about the upcoming move.

Guessing the demographics of this place are similar to the assisted living place across the street from my office. To clarify, I'm a huge fan of old people so this is NOT a problem. In fact, I'm hoping for some activities, I love old people activities. Crafts, canasta, bunco - whatever. 

JM met "Katherine" yesterday who is our neighbor and may be an issue. She mentioned to him, after letting herself in through the closed door, that we were really loud the day before (we went there for 30 minutes and took pictures and chatted, NO loudness). She's not going to be a happy camper living next to us...I'm sure of it. My normal talking voice is 8 octaves over what she considers to be loud.

Needless to say I feel a rivalry coming on. 

MMHMM - that's HER wreath and I plan on making one very soon that will put hers to shame. Very soon hopefully means by the end of the year.  Yes, I just read that back and it sounds a bit mean spirited, don't be alarmed. Just a friendly little craft war happening between Katherine and myself that she may or may not be aware of. Once she sees my wreath...she'll know. :) 

Below is the fountain in the lobby - hoping to throw my first canasta night here, sure hope the oldies but goodies are interested.

Enough about the condo for now - let's talk about the amount of calories you must consume in one day and for what length of time before you have a legitimate issue. My lovely mother made me a homemade strawberry cheese coffee cake - UGH maze ing. She sent me home with that, 3/4 of a key lime pie and a bag of home made white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. Then apparently we've got our own version of cupcake wars kicking at work and two huge bags of cashews and donuts. What the hell is going on. I lost my wasn't born with will power, so this is an issue.
