Ok, NOW you can play Christmas music.

1. What do you look forward to more: the food, football or parades?

I look forward to seeing my family the most which isn't an option but I feel as though I would be mis-representing my true feelings if I didn't mention it! :)
Now I'm going rate them. Parade first just because it's a tradition that makes it FEEL like a special day. When I lived at home I'd always wake up to Dad having the parade on (which will be on his new big screen this year!!) while mom cooks. THE FOOD IS A GIVEN hello - we eat all day. And because now I have FF kickin' football is more important than it used to be.

I must add, I also look forward to it FINALLY BEING ACCEPTABLE to play Christmas music. I feel like I'm the only scrooge out there who thinks the start of Christmas needs to wait until we're through with Thanksgiving. Be present AMERICA, enjoy Thanksgiving before you start looking towards Christmas.

2. What is your favorite non-traditional Thanksgiving Day dish?

Non-traditional? Hmmm we are a traditional sort of family when it comes to Thanksgiving. So I'll go with my favorite dish. My mom's butternut squash is the MUST have dish for me every year. I LOVE IT, like whoa. Feels healthy but I'm pretty sure there is more butter than Paula Deen has in her fridge at the moment included, so ehhh.

3. After dinner, is it football or a nap?

Pretty sure I'd like it to be a nap, but again, your choices are inadequate. ;) It's NEPHEW TIME!! Because JM has a big day of work on the Friday after Thanksgiving (LAME) we always have to leave, so I prefer QT with the fam over sleeping.

4. Do you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Which is your favorite float?

Yes. I wish I could remember even one float so I could answer this question. I have a memory issue. Is there a Mary Poppins float? Or a wine float? No?

5. Where do you go to celebrate and eat your big meal? Who is there (family, friends)?

We go to my grandparents (dad's side) on Thanksgiving normally. This year we're doing some low key shenanigans there and having a small traditional dinner with my parents at their house.  Things get a bit more un-traditional every year. :)

6. What is your favorite turkey day dessert?

Again - hard to say. My mom comes up with something new and exciting every year.  And there is always a variety. It's definitely not pumpkin pie, ick.
